Position Summary The Float Pool Medical Assistant provides clinical support across multiple Foundation Medical Partners practices throughout Southern New Hampshire. This role is ideal for a flexible, team-oriented professional who enjoys working in a variety of clinical settings and specialties. The Medical Assistant works closely with providers and office staff to ensure efficient patient flow and exceptional patient care. Key Responsibilities Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and visit information. Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments. Administer medications, immunizations, and perform point-of-care testing within scope of practice. Collect, prepare, and process laboratory specimens. Triage patient concerns and communicate information to providers as appropriate. Document patient care activities accurately within the electronic medical record. Coordinate referrals, preventive screenings, and other patient follow-up activities. Assist with prescription refill requests and routine clinical support duties. Maintain examination rooms, supplies, and equipment. Adapt to varying clinical environments and workflows across multiple practice locations. Qualifications Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or a minimum of three (3) years of Medical Assistant experience required. Previous ambulatory care, primary care, family medicine, or multi-specialty practice experience preferred. Certifications Current BLS/CPR certification required. Medical Assistant certification through AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT preferred. Skills & Abilities Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical office workflows. Ability to obtain vital signs, collect specimens, and accurately document patient information. Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a team. Flexibility to travel and work across multiple practice locations. Basic computer skills required; Epic experience preferred. Effectively uses coaching and management of performance skills to achieve high quality patient care. 14. Completes rounds on patients and staff to ensure patient satisfaction, staff needs are addressed and compliance with assignments, care delivery model, etc. 15. Engages self and others in shared governance process, 360 peer evaluations, Professional Management Plans (PMP’s) and Magnet Journey. 16. Assumes professional and accountability for decisions and actions. 17. Other duties as assigned. What qualifications you will need: LICENSURE / CREDENTIALS: Required: · Registered Nurse License state of NH or valid compact state licensure · ACLS within 90 days of employment · BLS Certification within 30 days of employment · CPI within 90 days of employment · Preferred: · Member of a national professional nursing organization EXPERIENCE Required: Three (3) years of experience as a Registered Nurse with demonstrated proficiency in leadership and management skills in the role of Charge Nurse, Clinical Coordinator, etc. Preferred: Two (2) years experience in a Nursing Management role.
