About this Job: General Summary of Position Responsible for the daily intake of inquiry calls coordinating and evaluating potential transplant recipients coordinating patient care discharge from hospital and oversees follow-up care. Position Title Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery (Per-Diem) Job Description Summary The VHC Health Labor and Delivery Unit consists of 16 private rooms with bathrooms (all bathrooms include a shower which can be quite helpful for long inductions or natural labors). Twelve out of the sixteen labor rooms were renovated in 2021. This unit also has six triage rooms, three ORs and five antepartum rooms. In addition to the recent unit updates, this team utilizes the most current evidence based supplies & products. Nursing leadership has brought in many new products in the last few years. About this Job: General Summary of Position The Medical Assistant performs clinical and administrative duties in an ambulatory care setting under the supervision of a physician/provider and/or a registered nurse. Duties may include venipuncture medication and vaccine administration measurement and documentation of vital signs and assisting providers with patient exams and telephone and clerical support.
