The ARNP/PA-C is a certified physician assistant or advanced registered nurse practitioner who provides evaluation and medical management to Heme/Heme Malignancy patients at Fred Hutch Cancer Center. They follow patients during their chemotherapy and provide medical supportive care, as well as surveillance after completion of treatment. The ARNP/PA-C assesses and manages basic health needs of patients, addresses treatment toxicities, performs procedures, monitors for cancer progression or recurrence, and consults with professional peers as needed. They work collaboratively with the treatment team to coordinate care of their patients. All clinical responsibilities are performed within the scope of practice, institutional privileges and under the supervision of an attending physician. Responsibilities Performs complex and problem-focused H & P’s Evaluates and manages on-treatment and post-treatment side effects, as well as long-term surveillance and survivorship issues. Performs procedures according to licensure, credentialing, and scope of practice. Collaborates and consults with other disciplines and services to ensure safe, effective, and timely treatment as well as continuity of patient care. Job Description Harborview Medical Center’s (HMC) 4WH - Trauma/Rehab Medicine unit has an outstanding opportunity for Registered Nurse (RN). 4WH --4W Inpatient Trauma Rehabilitation provides care 24 hours a day to our rehabilitation inpatients with therapy provided 3-6 hours per day, 6 days per week. Inpatient rehabilitation is provided for stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and disease, multiple trauma, and burns. In addition to our rehabilitation patients, we have 4 medical-surgical beds for acute care patients who are potential rehabilitation candidates but not yet ready for rehabilitation and for the post-operative stay of our sacral flap patients. This position is a full-time 1.0 FTE position with a 12 month (July 1 - June 30) academic position on a yearly appointment with an anticipated start date of January 1, 2027. Teaching Associates hold annual appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30) and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms. This individual will also provide postpartum care and discharge of mothers, including management of the higher-acuity postpartum patient.
