At Home Senior Caregiver Responsibilities: Provides essential care to the client. Provides continuous companionship for the client while on duty. Assists in meal planning, purchases of foods, and food preparation. Washes dishes and cleans the kitchen after meals. Assists the client to live in a clean, healthy, and safe environment. Observes the client's general physical, emotional, and mental conditions, and reports all changes in condition. Keeps appropriate records of all activity while in the client’s home. Provides a sense of security for the client and protects the client as much as possible from any harm resulting from the debilitating effects of his or her illness. Assists client as needed, excluding medical care. Communicates availability to work with the Coordinator on a weekly basis or as required. Clinical Nurse-II - Hillsborough Hospital ED

Description This Emergency Department has been accredited by the American College of Emergency Medicine as a Level 2 Geriatric Emergency Department and was the first in North Carolina to receive this designation. Geriatric Emergency Departments embrace a variety of best practices that address common geriatric issues. Prefer one year of nursing experience in emergency department or critical care/intermediate care. We will provide training to meet individual needs. The staff orientation to the Emergency Department includes both a 1:1 preceptor program and appropriate classes. Shift: 36 hours/week, Night Shift (3:00p-3:00a) The RN assigned to the 16-bed Emergency Department at the Hillsborough Campus delivers direct and indirect care for patients presenting with minor illnesses/ injuries to critical/ trauma injuries. Critical/traumatic injuries may require stabilization and potential transport to the Main ED / Trauma Level 1 Center at UNC Medical Center. This diverse environment in a community hospital setting contributes to a challenging and rewarding clinical environment for nurses and other members of the multi-disciplinary healthcare team. Summary: Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. Reporting and accountable to the Nurse Manager/Director, the Clinical Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting. Responsibilities: 1. Education - Participates in identifying and meeting learning needs of self. Attends education programs based on identified learning needs.
