Provide coaching, verbal counseling, and written warnings as appropriate. Foster a respectful, professional, and collaborative work environment. Communication & Coordination Give and receive detailed shift reports. Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and interdisciplinary team members. Report unit concerns, incidents, and operational issues to nursing leadership. Participate in meetings, in-services, and training as required. Compliance & Safety Ensure adherence to infection control practices and standard precautions. Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements (including DPH and state guidelines). Report hazards, equipment issues, and safety concerns immediately. Protect resident confidentiality and privacy at all times. Technology & Systems Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) and other required systems efficiently and accurately. Supervisory Responsibilities This position directly supervises nursing staff including GNAs, CMAs, Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Registered Nurses (RNs), and other assigned personnel.
