Initiates and titrates drips related to critical care DKA/HHS algorithms. Use of phenobarbital for CIWA patients Job Requirements Required Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, upon hire 1-2 years med/surg experience or New graduate with completion of senior practicum in a specialty area i.e.: Critical Care, ED, PACU or for those with no previous PCU/ICU experience, must successfully complete the PCU residency or the critical care residency program Registered Nurse: WA, upon hire Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire through the American Heart Association. Description Kindred Hospital Seattle – First Hill is an 80-bed long-term acute care hospital offering the same in depth care you would receive in a traditional hospital, but for an extended recovery period. We partner with your physician and offer 24-hour clinical care seven days a week so you can start your journey to wellness. Job Summary Provides planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process of Assessment, Planning, Intervention, and Evaluation. Functions as liaison between administration, patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers. Interacts professionally with patient/family and involves patient/family in the formation of the plan of care. The Medical Assistant Apprentice is a student in training (MA Trainee), mentored by a Fred Hutch Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) staff, in preparation to take the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) test through the National Healthcareer Association. The apprentice will work side-by-side with a preceptor and participate as a member of the team in the overall function of the clinic.
