Qualifications Requirements: Graduation from an accredited nursing program with active licensure and registration by the Virginia Board of Nurse Examiners, as a Registered Nurse; bachelor’s or master’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience that meets the education, knowledge, skills and abilities. Experience as a Registered Nurse, providing clinical care, generally equivalent to 1 or more years; experience in behavioral health strongly preferred. Knowledge of general addictions and psychiatric nursing process, therapeutic relationships and processes, age specific growth and development, limit setting crisis and behavior management strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Skill in the use of computer systems and software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel). Must be able to handle multiple competing tasks, with minimum supervision, and take initiative on matters of revolving urgency.
