Description Duties Description The Registered Nurse 1 will coordinate, direct and provide professional nursing care to residents of the Nursing Home under the direction and supervision of the Nurse Administrator. Notes Maintaining a current and valid license and/or registration is a condition of employment; failure to do so will result in removal from the position. In order to be eligible for appointment and to maintain employment, you cannot be listed as an excluded individual or entity on any of the Federal and/or State Medicaid and Medicare exclusion lists. Should an appointee be subsequently listed as an excluded individual or entity on any of these lists, employment may be terminated Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Reassignment: Current New York State Department of Health Veterans Home at Montrose employee with permanent or contingent permanent status as a Registered Nurse 1, Grade 18. Transfer: Current New York State employee with one or more years of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55 b/c service in a position eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law, to a Registered Nurse 1, Grade 18. Open Competitive HELPS qualifications: Possession of a license and current registration as a registered professional nurse in New York State. Preferred Qualifications: The preferred candidate would have experience in a Long-Term Care setting with a geriatric population. Additional Comments All Shifts Available. We are a 252-bed long term skilled care nursing facility providing care to the Veterans of our community. Degrees awarded from educational institutions outside of the United States, or its territories must be independently verified for equivalency. Posted salary range ($118,726 - $128,120) includes statutory hiring rate at step 4 and job rate for grade 18, plus a geographic pay differential of $35,000, & downstate adjustment of $4,150. If applicable, the inconvenience pay program of $825 per year will be paid to employees who work four (4) hours or more between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Hours worked between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on an overtime basis are not included for Inconvenience Pay.
