Ensure compliance with IEPs by having medically necessary equipment available as needed. Adhere to state regulations regarding proper administration and storage of student medication. Develop policies and procedures to ensure optimum health of all staff and students. Attend team meetings, including PPTs, as indicated by the student\'s individual needs. Provide vaccinations to staff. Collaborate with agencies within and outside of the community to ensure continuity of service and care for students and families. Lift and/or restrain students as necessary according to training and district protocols. Participate in at least 15 hours of professional development, continuing education or activities approved by the local or regional board of education including mandatory training and instruction on implementing IEPs and Secrion 504 plans every two years. Assume professional responsibilities through membership and active participation in at least one appropriate professional organization annually.
