JOB DESCRIPTION TITLE: Lead Certified Nursing Assistant REPORTS TO: Director of Nursing I. JOB SUMMARY Assisting the Director of Nursing Services in the planning, organizing developing and directing of the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and facility policies. Operating as a CNA providing direct care to residents, the objective is to ensure the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. II. QUALIFICATIONS A. Must have current certification as a CNA B. Must possess current CPR Certificate or become certified within two weeks of employment. C. Demonstrate interest and/or knowledge in the therapy, rehabilitation, restorative, ADL, splint, and ROM program. D. Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner. E. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. F. G. Recruit and conducts preliminary interviews, and makes recommendations for hiring to the clinical leadership and Administrator. Final interviews and approval is completed by the clinical leadership or Administrator. H. Provides assistance with orientation, coaching and mentoring to ensure the success of CNAs in the performance of their duties. Makes recommendations for counseling to the clinical leadership. I. Provides feedback to clinical leadership regarding CNA daily and annual performance evaluation feedback. J. Make daily rounds to ensure that nursing personnel are performing required duties, and to ensure appropriate procedures are being followed. Make physical rounds of all customers daily.
