Job Summary Prepare patients for provider exam, take vital signs, record patient history and assist in office procedures. Administer treatment, medications and injections as ordered. Job Requirements Minimum Education Requirement: High school diploma/GED required or 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in lieu of High School Diploma. Completion of Medical Assistant Program required. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred. Minimum Experience Requirement: Three to five years in a healthcare setting is preferred. Computer skills. Excellent customer service skills. Minimum License Requirement: BLS required within 90 days of hire/transfer. Completion of annual Medical Assistant Competency training. Current California CPT (Certified Phlebotomy Technician) certificate or completion of an external MA Phlebotomy training.
