General Summary: The Registered Nurse - Float is a professional care giver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment / instrumentation, and other health care team members. About the unit 4E is a 24 bed Med/Surg unit at Blodgett Hospital that cares for the general medical and surgical patients. Employees are often drawn to 4E for the variety of patients and the team environment. Our staff become competent in caring for a large array of both surgical and medical patients.
