Ensure the resident is out of bed, dressed and ready to participate in activities of choice. Provide assistance with ADLs during activities if necessary. Assist resident to participate in individual activities of choice, (i.e.: set up of equipment, positioning assistance, providing sufficient lighting and space). Certified Nursing Assistant ( CNA ) Main Duties and Critical Tasks: Care for multiple residents in the facility. Observe Resident Rights. Reports on duty, listens to and/or obtains report from Charge Nurse, receives assignment. Makes two hour and prn rounds on all residents. Keeps unit neat and clean; straightens nourishment station, clean and dirty utility room and other areas as assigned. Ensure the resident is out of bed, dressed and ready to participate in activities of choice. Provide assistance with ADLs during activities if necessary. Assist resident to participate in individual activities of choice, (i.e.: set up of equipment, positioning assistance, providing sufficient lighting and space). PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF A CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT (CNA): Requires movement throughout entire unit. Must be able to lift, push, pull and move a minimum of 50 lbs. Must be able to bend, lift, and transport equipment. Must be able to lift and turn and residents. Requires ability to utilize computerized medical record system for the purposes of medical record documentation.
