Duties & Responsibilities Purpose of Position: Under direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, with the broadest scope for the exercise of independent initiative and judgment, organizes, directs, coordinates and evaluates the nursing service and nursing education programs of a health care setting or diagnostic and treatment center; performs related tasks. Minimum Qualifications A valid New York State license and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse; and Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Nursing Administration or a related field and four (4) years of high-level responsible experience in nursing administration, three (3) years of which must have been in a hospital; or A satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
