Independent practice of NNPs occurs in the specialized NICU at our newly implemented couplet care birthing unit at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital. The NNP collaborates with neonatologists at our Level 3 NICU at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. The NNP is involved with the ongoing education of nursing staff, residents, and students. Maintains credentials with procedural privileges through the medical staff offices at WMH and OMH. Maintains Neonatal NCC certification Participates in multidisciplinary mortality and morbidity rounds Participates and coordinates as needed in research activities within the NICU. Provides procedural support to the ED for newborn/infant code blue. Qualifications: Displays a positive attitude about themselves, work and staff. Possesses excellent communication skills.
