POSITION OVERVIEW The Resident Care Associate (RCA) is responsible for providing general non-certified routine services in accordance with the established procedures and may be directed by your supervisors. Key Responsibilities Assists with housekeeping and laundry services including but not limited to, trash removal and making and changing unoccupied beds. Provides resident assistance with activities of daily living including but not limited to hygiene care, incontinence assistance, bathing & grooming. Assists with all aspects of meal service including but not limited to, transportation of residents to and from dining room, tray delivery, and ensuring great dining experience. Answer residents call lights promptly. Ensures that residents who are unable to call for help are checked frequently. As a Surgery Float RN you will: Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities. Documents patient care provided. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family. Prepares, positions, and transports patients for procedures. Prepares surgical and endoscopy suites with solutions, scopes, equipment, and supplies. Validates proper reprocessing of scopes for every procedure. Assesses and cares for patients throughout the perioperative process, including pre-procedure and post-procedure care. Operates specialized equipment and maintains a safe environment. Accounts for use of supplies during surgical/endoscopy procedures. Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs. Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances throughout the perioperative process. Assists patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. Participates in performance improvement and continuing education. Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed. Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
