Weekend Nurse Supervisor RN

SHEPHERD OF THE HILLS LIVING CENTER, located in Branson, Missouri is currently seeking a Weekend Nurse Supervisor to join our team. Nurse Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in directing and supervising the implementation of the resident care plan, including but not limited to: ensuring use of appropriate safety devices, positioning and toileting plans, infection control measures. Assist in coordinating and supervising all services on assigned units to achieve a comfortable and homelike atmosphere for the residents. Regular rounding on nursing units Assure that staff treats residents with dignity and respect. Assure staff follow facility policies and procedures. Assist in creating a team-oriented atmosphere that enhances resident care and quality of life. Provide support and direction for nurses including, but not limited to: assisting in assessment and care planning for residents who may be experiencing a change in condition, assisting with task management and setting priorities, providing education, obtaining appropriate supplies/medications. Monitor and assure that incidents, accidents and resident/staff complaints are reported and documented correctly. Assist in determining root cause, and in initiating preventive measures/interim safety plan. Assure communication to all responsible parties including administration and unit managers. Facilitate communication between licensed nurses and providers, responsible parties or outside vendors as needed to ensure resident care needs are appropriately met. Assure complete and accurate documentation through spot-checking and on-going supervision. Respond to, assist with and document facility emergencies. Ensure the provision of continuity of care to residents. Discuss staffing issues and emergent or on-going problems. Facilitate communication between shift staff and unit managers/DON/ADON. Assist in ensuring adequate staffing for the nursing department. Supervise proper use of equipment. Recommend equipment and supply needs to DON. Assist in direct resident care and work as a staff nurse, as necessary. Prepare/administer performance reviews for shift staff in consultation with unit managers; provide correction/re-education to shift staff as needed. Nurse Supervisor Requirements: Graduate of an accredited nursing program and licensed RN/LPN. POSITION SUMMARY: The Wound Care Coordinator reports to and receives general direction from the Director of Nursing and is responsible for delivering quality wound care and preventative measures to maintain skin integrity to assigned residents in compliance with applicable federal and state guidelines and established policies and procedures. The Team Leader (RN) (Detox/ Facility Based Crisis) provides clinical supervision to all staff, clinical and non-clinical; uses state guidelines to assure quality of service and consumer rights. The Team Leader (RN) collaborates with the Director to ensure the management of the program on a 24-hour basis. The Team Leader (RN) will collaborate with the Director to plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operations of the nursing department at the Detox/Facility Based Crisis Center in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the facility. Education, Licensure, and Experience required for the position include: AA, BS, MSN preferred. Five years’ experience working with addicted and mentally ill consumers required with at least three years supervisory experience RHA Behavioral Health Services is looking for a dedicated Nurse Manager (RN) to join our interdisciplinary healthcare team at our Facility-Based Crisis Center. Successful candidates will focus on nursing functions and client care at a Facility-Based Crisis Center including assessment, care and treatment of clients at the facility; must adhere to standards of care as defined by the Nurse Practice Act and RHA. Job Responsibilities Participates in the recruitment and selection of appropriate skill levels and numbers of nursing service personnel. Provides clinical oversight to all clinical and non-clinical staff on a daily basis. Conduct/arrange adequate training of all full-time and part-time employees in positions to meet effective program needs and to maintain employee competency Manages the facility within allocated budgetary parameters. Responsible for the effective management of the facilities services on a daily basis, including planning, organizing, and directing all functions and assigned activities; establishment of goals and objectives, standards of performance and care; development of clinical policy and procedure; provision of direct clinical services; and evaluation of clinical staff, systems and improvement processes. Ensure that facility is staffed appropriately Develops the schedule for the nursing staff, updates it at appropriate intervals and submits it to the Director Substance Abuse Treatment for approval. Provides professional nursing care including assessment, care and treatment of clients at the facility; must adhere to standards of care as defined by the Nurse Practice Act, RHA, and accrediting bodies Supervisory Requirements: Directly more than 2 employees. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Has reliable personal transportation and is accessible by telephone. Required Education/Experience/Certifications/Licenses RN with license to practice in North Carolina Five years experience working with Behavioral Health Clients preferred. MSN preferred. Essential Qualifications/Skills Working knowledge of the principles and techniques in the counseling of each client and/or effective delivery of community-based services. Knowledge of the dynamics of the disease of chemical dependency and its treatment. Knowledge of resources available in the community to support recovery. Working knowledge of psychoactive substance abuse, dependency and the principles and techniques based on best practices. Commitment to the use of evidence based treatment and preventative methods. Ability to incorporate this knowledge into a training program for employees, assuring training and hours needed to attain certification. Ability to monitor budgets and review program productivity and/or performance, and to assist in annual budget development. Emotional stability, maturity, warmth, openness and the ability to work effectively with a diverse, indigent population. More than five (5) years continuous sobriety and/or recovery from mood altering drugs, with active participation in recovery, if applicable. Knowledge of federal confidentiality laws so that client confidentiality is assured. Must have knowledge of Client Rights Policy and believe those rights must be considered at all times. Ability to speak and write effectively for the purpose of maintaining effective relations with the staff, clients and stakeholders and for marketing programs to clients and the community.
