Minimum Requirements A Medical Assistant certificate, along with a high school diploma or equivalent required. A minimum of 1 year of experience as a back office Medical Assistant preferred in the outpatient setting, medical practice, or clinic setting. Phlebotomy certified preferred Nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification, preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese, depending on location, strongly preferred. A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.
