Description The Offsite Licensed Practical Nurse I work as a part of the healthcare team by assisting in planning and implementing care interventions while promoting high quality patient care in a professional, efficient and safe manner, ensuring the patient flow. The Offsite LPN provides personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to patients. This individual is expected to maintain up-to-date knowledge in this area and apply it to everyday practice. Responsibilities 1. Prepares and escorts the patient for exams and procedures. 2. Explains treatment procedures, medications, diets and physicians instructions to patients. 3. Administers medications, including all types of injections, IV therapy as needed and within the scope of licensure. 4. Provides basic patient care and treatments, including but not limited to: dressing wounds, performing catheterizations or applying compresses. 5. Collects, labels and processes specimens accurately. 6. Cleans and prepares medical treatment rooms for patient visits 7. Assembles and uses equipment appropriate to specific medical practice. 8. Schedules follow-up appointments for patients as needed. 9. Communicates delays effectively when necessary. 10. Enters patient information into the electronic medical record accurately and in a timely manner. 11. Manages the physician's work environment appropriately. 12. Provides clerical support to patients including, but not limited to, making appointments, booking procedures, obtaining pre-authorizations and answering telephones. 13. Manages medical inventory and supply ordering based on par levels. 14. Must work under the supervision of the physician or Registered Nurse. 15. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected clinical team during a period of continued departmental growth. **About the Opportunity** This is a per diem role with 1-4 work days expected per month. Department makeup: (1) full-time physician, (1) part-time physician & (1) full-time nurse practitioner. The APN/PA will provide comprehensive care to gynecology patients across all phases of care, including evaluations, follow‑up visits, pre‑ and post‑operative management, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams. The Department of Gynecologic Oncology currently performs a wide range of cases each year and is experiencing steady growth. The ideal candidate will excel in communication, interpersonal skills, precise documentation, and clinical expertise in managing all phases of care for urology patients. The midlevel provider will plan, direct, and coordinate key operations of the department and will work hand‑in‑hand with Physicians, Midlevel Providers, Medical Assistants, and Scheduling Coordinators to support optimal patient outcomes. **What your day will look like** Conduct patient assessments, histories, and physical examinations. Manage pre‑and post‑operative gynecologic oncology patients. Perform follow‑up visits and assist with individualized care plans. Order and interpret diagnostic tests. Participate in daily rounds and care coordination.
