Nurse Practitioner

MAJOR FUNCTIONS: Under general direction, the Nurse Practitioner is responsible under direction of a physician for providing general medical care, preventative care and treatment to patients in one of the agency’s clinics. Discusses case with physician and other health professionals and therapeutic team to prepare comprehensive patient care plan. Refers patients to physician or to specialized health resources for treatment. Makes patients aware of importance of a healthy lifestyle.
