Key Responsibilities Assess and monitor residents’ mood, behavior, cognition, and psychiatric symptoms Administer psychiatric medications and treatments Report changes and collaborate with psychiatrists, NPs, and counselors Assist with crisis management and de-escalation Support care plan development and documentation in the EHR Educate staff, residents, and families on mental health and coping strategies Participate in GDR meetings and interdisciplinary care conferences Ensure follow-up on psychiatric consults and coordinate referrals Respond to behavioral emergencies following protocol Requirements Active RN license (NY) Experience in psychiatric or mental health nursing (required) LTC/SNF or behavioral health experience preferred Strong communication, assessment, and documentation skills Knowledge of psychopharmacology and behavioral interventions Why Join Us?
