The Director of the Emergency Department, reporting to the CNO, organizes, plans, and administers the day-to-day operations of the Emergency Room at Valencia County Hospital. This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective, and timely emergency clinical services within established productivity and budget standards. The Director manages departmental personnel, capital and operating budgets, regulatory compliance, and serves as a visionary leader to develop and grow the service line. This position acts as a vital liaison between the Emergency Department, administration, physicians, EMS agencies, patients, families, and the local community. Objective The MDS Coordinator assists the Director of Nursing and the RN Assessment Coordinator with ensuring that documentation in the center meets Federal, State, and Certification guidelines. The MDS Coordinator coordinates the RAI process assuring the timeliness, and completeness of the MDS, CAAs, and Interdisciplinary Care Plan. Principal Responsibilities Assists the center in assuring adherence to Federal and State regulations and certification. Actively participates in the regulatory or certification survey process and the correction of deficiencies Reports trends from completed audits to the Quality Assurance Committee Assures the completion of the RAI Process from the MDS through the interdisciplinary completion of the plan of care. The In Home Services CNA is responsible for providing routine care and assisting participants or clients with activities of daily living, restorative and supportive care.
