Ensuring all wound and skin care protocols are approved by the medical staff. Organizing multidisciplinary wound and skin rounds on a weekly basis for high risk patients and patients with current pressure ulcers and other significant wounds. Providing hands-on wound care for all difficult and non-healing wounds. Serving as a resource to all hospital staff on all issues related to wound and skin care. Ensuring all regulatory requirements are met Qualifications Minimum qualifications AD (Associate's degree in Nursing) required. One (1) year of related experience required. Valid State RN License. Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date. Must complete wound care training in the first 90 days in the role. Preferred qualifications: BSN preferred. A caregiver in this position works Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. No nights weekends, or holidays. Collect and document objective and subjective data and observations about patients. Complete nursing assessments and report all data. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Graduate of an approved school of practical nursing Current Ohio License as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: One year of patient care experience Cardiology experience Physical Requirements: Requires full body motion to move and lift patients, manual finger dexterity with good hand-eye coordination, involves extensive standing walking and occasional lifting. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours. Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids. Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work. Personal Protective Equipment: Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
