Job Details Description Position Summary: Responsible for preoperative assessment of patient status and ordering of preoperative medication under supervision with administration of drugs to produce sedation or anesthesia, insert arterial, venous catheters, and monitors the patient during anesthesia until the patient regains consciousness. The CRNA is frequently involved with the Code 88 team for resuscitation. •Experience: 0 to 3 months. Preferred previous cardiac anesthesia experience. •Education/Required License / Credentials: Current requirements to CRNA graduates. Current NJ-RN license and AANA Council eligible/certified. Minimum requirement of current ACLS. Maintains CEU status according to AANA Council on Re-Certification. Confirmation of credentials must be communicated to hospital Credentials Committee. North and South 8 have telemetry capabilities for our patients. Kelemen 8 has frequent admissions and discharges. Kelemen 8 can accept a total of 77 patients. The North side houses 37 patients, and the South side houses 36 patients. There are two negative pressure rooms with an anti-room. There is a pharmacist present on the unit to assist the RNs with medication questions/concerns. Multidisciplinary rounds occur every Monday through Friday. Rounds involve all aspects of the healthcare team, including the patient and family.
