Purpose of Your Job Position The primary purpose of your job position is to provide each of your assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by your supervisors. Education Must possess, as a minimum, a 10th grade education. Experience Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant/Geriatric Nursing Assistant in accordance with laws of this state. Specific Requirements Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served. Job Description The Registered Nurse in the Sexual Health Center provides direct patient care, coordinates treatment plans, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality outcomes, maintains clinical documentation, adheres to safety protocols, and supports patient education and advocacy. The RN will work partly in the ambulatory fixed site at 200 South Street in Morristown, partly in the Morristown Medical Center Emergency Department, and partly in the community in an Atlantic Mobile Health vehicle and at community-based organizations through Northern New Jersey including, but not limited to, Morris, Sussex, and Passaic Counties. The Sexual Health Department in a small, interdisciplinary team that primarily promotes public health initiatives funded through grants and awards. Public health initiatives include prevention, testing, and treatment for HIV, HCV, and sexually transmitted infections; harm reduction health programming such as preventative care, acute and chronic disease management, and wound care; education and counseling to promote safer sex and use strategies.
