Summary Sign on bonus available to qualified candidates The ED/SSU RN functions primarily in direct patient care, and demonstrates “competent” clinical practice with a variety of patients. The RN in the ED/SSU works as part of a team with a common goal of offering patient centered, timely care, in a safe and friendly environment. About the unit Big Rapids Campus has a 22 bed medical surgical unit and a 4 bed critical care unit. This campus is the perfect place to gain experience as a new nurse and grow your career! The patient population in Big Rapids is very diverse, it consists of primarily hospitalist medicine patients with a wide variety of diagnosis, some of which include: pneumonia, COPD, cellulitis, kidney failure, and bowel obstructions. Summary The ED/SSU RN functions primarily in direct patient care, and demonstrates “competent” clinical practice with a variety of patients.
