Willing and able to maintain ACLS certification and respond appropriately to medical emergencies, in accordance with PPGOH Medical Standards and Guidelines. Assists Clinician and Practice Manager in assuring the abortion services comply with Quality Assurance, Regulatory (ODH, CLIA, PPFA), and OSHA requirements. Maintains surgical services lab and patient logs. Coordinates audits, necessary patient follow-up, and completes necessary surgical service reports. Ability to receive and respond to emergency calls from abortion services patients during scheduled work hours. Gives injections, i.e. DMPA, and therapeutic medication as ordered by the clinician. Performs all necessary lab services including venipuncture. Competently performs duties as Sedation and Recovery Nurse. Promotes and maintains communication with patients, peers, clinic manager, clinicians, and administration.
