The Neonatal ICU is a 83-bed Level III critical care facility that provides acute medical, nursing, and respiratory care to critically ill infants; the majority of NICU admissions come from within Magee, however, we do also regularly take transports from other regional hospitals. A Trauma Nurse Coordinator is a Professional Nurse possessing a high degree of competence and expertise in trauma nursing care and is an integral member of the health care organization. A Trauma Nurse Coordinator is responsible for collaborating with the medical director of Trauma Services and the Trauma Program Administrator to coordinate all activities of the Trauma Program, act as a role model for trauma care through educational and clinical activities and provide follow up for referring physicians and agencies.
