Full time/72 hours per pay Days/7:00am-7:30pm Provides medical, surgical, oncology & telemetry nursing care for inpatient and observation patients. The unit is equipped with telemetry monitors. Patients receiving vasoactive and/or anti-arrhythmic medications requiring cardiac monitoring can be accommodated; if such medications require titration, patients will be moved to a higher level of care. Clinical specialties include, but are not limited to general medical, pulmonary, geriatrics, oncology, palliative care, and end-of-life care. The unit provides inpatient oncology nursing care specializing in chemotherapy administration, central access devices, complex post-operative nursing care, infusion services, and the management of immunosuppressed patients. There are 6 negative pressure rooms for patients requiring airborne isolation. Total capacity is 48 private rooms. The Clinical Nurse is a registered nurse (RN) who partners with and advocates for patients/families/significant others to provide physical, emotional and spiritual support which impacts patient outcomes in a safe environment.
