This will include assisting our residents in reaching or attaining the highest potential in their physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being. Our Nursing Supervisor is responsible for the following: Monitors nursing care by visiting residents routinely to ensure continuity and continual evaluation of care as related to the IDCP and physician's orders. Assesses resident's condition and nursing care needs, assures that medications, treatments and care are being provided as ordered or specified on the IDCP. Maintains appropriate documentation of nursing observations, including follow-up documentation in the medical record in accordance with acceptable medical standards of practice. Prepares equipment and assists physician during rounds or special treatments and examinations of residents. Provides direct resident care and transports residents to activities and appointments as time permits. Answers call lights promptly. Performs glucometer readings, EKG's and other testing as needed. Notifies physician of change in resident's condition according to policy and acceptable professional standards. Notifies family of change in resident's condition or hospitalization according to policy. Report to oncoming staff on the next shift concerning condition of the resident or any unusual occurrences. Supervise professional and non-professional nursing personnel providing care at Masonic Villages. This includes coaching employees and groups of employees to enhance their performance and commitment. Assist employee to develop skills needed to achieve optimal performance and strong performance in their role. What You Have as a Nursing Supervisor: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse Required Current RN licensure by the PA State Board of Nursing Required CPR certification required (prior to or upon employment) P revious leadership and long-term care or geriatric nursing experience preferred A minimum of 3 years of RN Supervisory experience in a long-term care setting required Computer skills required. Assists resident with meal service as needed including meal preparation and cutting up foods, set-up, clearing and washing dishes. Reports any unsafe equipment to nurse or administrator. Maintains the cleanliness and neatness of the wellness office, laundry room, equipment, and inventory supplies. Removes trash from wellness offices and laundry rooms.
