Responsibilities PRIMARY: Ability to fulfill all responsibilities of the Patient Care Specialist and Scribe position as detailed in the specific Patient Care Specialist and Scribe job description. The ability to maintain friendly, cordial relations with all employees, build and maintain confidence and credibility with all employees. Deliver clinical and administrative support for the team and adhere to all policies and procedures of the company. Ensure that the activities of the Nurse are conducted in a manner that is consistent with overall department expectations and are in compliance with Federal and State regulations, guidelines, and requirements including working knowledge of all health information management issues such as HIPAA. Prepare exam and treatment rooms for patient intake. Triage patients by checking vitals, performing blood draws and giving injections, etc. Observe patients, charting, reporting changes in patients’ conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment and taking any necessary action. Assist with lab testing and phlebotomy. Assist providers in preparing for minor procedures and physicals. Prepare and maintain supplies and equipment for treatment. Assist patients utilizing a Virtual Medicine Provider. Ensure accurate completion of patient charts in a timely matter and forwarding charts as appropriate on a daily basis. Arrange referrals to a specialist and obtaining pre-authorizations when directed by the Provider. The ability to maintain friendly, cordial relations with all clients and employees; maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that results in a positive work relationship with customers, co-workers and managers. Perform federal and non-federal DOT, BAT and Drug Screen exams. Welcome new employees on their first day in the clinic and facilitate introductions to team members, clinic tours, and an overview of the clinic processes. Actively assist new employees with learning activities and completing required training. Support new employee training by providing job shadowing, demonstration, and coaching opportunities The ability to perform the physical, use of senses, cognitive, and environmental functions of the position, as specified on the physical demands. Work as part of the overall team by answering telephone, taking messages and returning voicemails in a friendly and professional manner *** Additional Requirements and Responsibilities: Level 1: High School Diploma or its equivalent with a current CPR license* and/or at least 1 year of experience as a certified LPN preferred in clinic setting, preferably urgent care Level 2: Certified LPN with a current CPR license* and either (1) 3 years’ experience in relevant role and 1 year of Fast Pace experience in Nurse role or (2) 4 years’ experience in relevant role. Or Certified RN with a current CPR license and either 1 years’ experience in relevant role and 1 year of Fast Pace experience in Nurse role or (2) 2 years’ experience as Nurse. Level 3: Certified LPN with a current CPR license* and either (1) 5 years’ experience in relevant role and 2 years of Fast Pace experience in Nurse role or (2) 6 years’ experience in relevant role OR Certified RN with a current CPR license and either 3 years’ experience in relevant role and 1 year of Fast Pace experience in Nurse role or (2) 4 years experience as a Nurse. Level 4: Certified RN with a current CPR license* and at least 10 year as a Nurse and 1 year of Fast Pace experience. Level 5: Certified RN with a current CPR license* and at least 15 years as a Nurse and 2 years of Fast Pace experience. Level 6: Certified LPN with a current CPR license* and either (1) 5 years’ experience in relevant role and 2 years of Fast Pace experience in Nurse role or (2) 6 years’ experience in relevant role OR Certified RN with a current CPR license and either 3 years’ experience in relevant role and 1 year of Fast Pace experience in Nurse role or (2) 4 years experience as a Nurse. Our Certified Nursing Assistant – CNA (State Tested Nursing Assistant-STNA in Ohio) work with community management to provide seniors with personalized care, and give resident status updates at the beginning and end of each shift. Nursing assistants check in with residents, assist with dining and personal care needs, and perform vital sign checks and clinical procedures according to community policy.
