Orders & Documentation: Implement provider orders and standing protocols, process prescription refills, obtain prior authorizations, and accurately document all data within established timeframes. Procedures: Perform independent procedures as approved by the provider, including EKGs, vision/hearing screenings, and point-of-care testing. Perform phlebotomy and administer immunizations in strict accordance with organization policy. Patient Discharge & Coordination: Review discharge instructions with patients, provide educational resources, process referrals, and schedule follow-up appointments. Qualifications & Skills: High School diploma or GED required CPR-Basic Life Support of Healthcare Provider required from the American Heart Association required This position is part of a career ladder, and the appropriate level will be determined by the organization. MAI - Graduate of an accredited MA program preferred OR demonstrated competencies of MA I (evaluated by hiring manager) with minimum 1 year experience in a medical office.
