Job Summary Responsible for providing nursing care to an assigned group of patients under the supervision of a registered nurse and in accordance with the hospital’s philosophy of patient care. Duties & Responsibilities Assist the RN in the observation, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care. Provide nursing care to an assigned group of patients using proper techniques, procedures and safety precautions to meet individual patient needs. Administer oral, IV intramuscular, subcutaneous and related medications according to established policies and procedures. Monitors IV infusions and blood transfusions on assigned patients including observing and regulating the flow rate and observing insertion site. Assist physicians and patients during examinations, procedures and/or diagnostic tests as required. Observe assigned patients and report any patient care problem, change in patient condition or unexpected occurrences to RN. Provide patient/family teaching and evaluate patient’s understanding. Assist with patient discharge or transport planning. Maintain patient’s medical records in an orderly manner and document all care provided and significant information, legibly, accurately and completely. Maintain a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients in accordance with hospital standards. Assume responsibility for own professional development, setting goals and striving to achieve them through available resources, such as attending seminars, in-services and/or reading journals. Job Summary The Nurse Navigator functions on the multidisciplinary team as an advocate, interpreter, educator, and counselor for oncology patients. Is responsible for ensuring all adult patients with an oncology diagnosis receive quality and comprehensive services, including coordinating patient care throughout the continuum in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. The Nurse Navigator will serve as a clinical resource with expertise in oncology care management and will serve as a liaison throughout the facility and in the community regarding services provided for this unique patient population and will provide expert nursing care, which includes: direct clinical practice, consultation and education. Job Summary Under the direction of the Hyperbaric Supervisor provides direct care to Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy patients as prescribed by the (Medical) Director Wound Recovery Center or attending Hyperbaric physician operates and maintains the HBOT chambers and associated systems and equipment and evaluates the care for clients according to age-specific criteria.
