Overview Central Maine Healthcare is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving 400,000 people living in central, western and Midcoastal Maine. Responsibilities The incumbent functions as a member of the Cardiovascular Service line supporting Noninvasive Cardiology in alignment with Prime Healthcare’s mission and values. Incumbent performs a range of cardiovascular procedures under limited supervision and is responsible for helping to develop and implement care plans and education to assure the smooth, efficient flow of both inpatients and outpatients as care is provided across the spectrum of Cardiovascular Service line and the hospital. Duties include, but are not limited to, appropriate oversight and management of patient handoffs, administration of medications and monitoring of patients during a variety of cardiovascular tests and exercise programs including but not limited to stress testing, ekg testing, and heart monitor applications. Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. Current and valid state RN License. 2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current. 3. Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire. 4. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current. 5. Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred. 6. Must meet one of the following requirements: Graduated from an accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed; or completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting; or 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting (equivalent experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis). License/Certifications: Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT certification required. (Prior to 5/01/25 MA IIs with 10 years MA experience and employed by MaineHealth as a MA in the most recent 5 years are exempt from certification requirement). Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Fully remote care team members are exempt from BLS certification requirement. A NH Med Tech License, or NH EMT and National Registry EMT license is required for those positions located in New Hampshire.
