Department Electrophysiology Lab Job Summary Provides professional nursing care to patients and families in an acute clinical care environment, guided by the SMHCS nursing professional practice model and in accordance with the ANA's Standards of Professional Practice. Assumes responsibility for performing, delegating and coordinating nursing care for patients undergoing special cardiac procedures, including interventions that assist the patient in a conscious or semiconscious state, and monitoring patients having moderate sedation. Identifies physiologic, psychological, and sociologic needs of the patient, develops and implements an individualized plan of care, coordinates interventions and evaluates outcomes of the patient's hospital experience. Required Qualifications - Require graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program.
