Responsibilities The primary purpose of the Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) position is to provide high quality patient care. The APN utilizes advanced practice nursing expertise to provide care to patients in the Emergency Department. Other responsibilities for the APN include, but are not limited to, participation in staff orientation, consultation and evaluation for patients, families and health care team members. Works collaboratively with Physicians, Nursing Director and Managers to identify patient care and staff development needs and quality improvement opportunities. Overview About the Role The primary purpose of the Staff Nurse (Critical Care Transport) position is to provide and direct the critical care treatment and transport of patients in the hospital setting to the most appropriate facility. Provides pre-hospital Basic and Advanced Life Support (BLS, ALS) and hospital patient care. Responds to emergencies and makes logical decisions regarding non-formulary drugs or off-site referrals. Experience Prior medical/surgical and/or emergency/trauma experience and corrections experience is preferred. Must have the patience and tact to deal with the inmate patient population and ability to work effectively in the corrections environment. Scheduling flexibility is also required to be able to rotate hours and shifts, if needed, and to be called during emergency situations to provide coverage. Duties are to provide primary care for the high-risk newborn infants in these locations in accordance with the objectives, policies and procedures of the hospital and the New Jersey State Advanced Nurse Practice Act. Overview About the Role The Oncology RN Clinical Care Coordinator (OCC) works collaboratively with an oncologist in delivering care to their assigned patient population. Serve as the primary clinical point of contact, supporting patients throughout the continuum of cancer care. Conduct ongoing assessments of patient symptoms, treatment response, psychosocial needs, and barriers to care. Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and symptom management strategies. Coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely follow-up, referrals, testing, and treatment interventions. Connect patients and families with appropriate internal and community resources based on individual needs. Provide telephone and MyChart triage, addressing patient concerns and escalating clinical issues to providers as appropriate. Support physicians and Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs) with patient follow-up, care coordination, and completion of disability and treatment-related documentation. Monitor and facilitate continuity of care to prevent gaps, delays, or obstacles in treatment. Serve as a clinical resource and subject matter expert for the assigned disease team. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, committee activities, and patient-centered programs that enhance oncology services and outcomes. Apply advanced oncology nursing knowledge and clinical expertise to support patients undergoing cancer treatment and survivorship care Qualifications What You’ll Bring Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or a related healthcare field required. Master’s Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related field preferred. Minimum of three (3) years of full-time experience in a hospital-based practice required, preferably in Oncology. Spanish-speaking candidates are highly preferred. Strong team leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills required. Current CPR certification required. Oncology Nursing Society (ONS)/ONCC Provider Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certificate and/or Radiation Therapy Certificate required, or must be obtained within the first ninety (90) days of employment. All required certifications must be maintained throughout employment. Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) national certification preferred. Responsibilities The primary purpose of the Staff Nurse (Per Diem) position is to work on an as needed basis and be accountable for the care activities, safety and goal achievements of assigned patients through assessing, diagnosing, planning and intervening in actual or potential health problems and evaluating patient’s response to the care. These responsibilities also include patient education and discharge planning. The Registered Professional Nurse places emphasis on mobilizing patients and preventing skin break down, falls and implements the appropriate measures to achieve this. The Registered Professional Nurse is a member of a designated care team and collaborates, coordinates and guides team members in planning patient care in a safe environment and achieving patient care goals according to the patient/family developmental stage and cultural expectations.
