Cath Lab / EP Lab Department Description The Invasive Cardiology Department at Mount Auburn Hospital is comprised of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab) and the Electrophysiology Lab (EP Lab). The department offers comprehensive diagnostic and interventional procedures to our patients. The clinical staff is comprised of a mixture of registered nurses, cardiovascular technologists, and radiologic technologists. The department is comprised of two Cath Labs, one EP Lab, and a six bed holding room for pre- and post-procedure care. Additionally, Cath/EP Lab staff work collaboratively with the cardiac surgery team in the hybrid CVOR to care for patients undergoing TAVR procedure.
