As a RN on our unit, you will assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care of our patients in accordance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice. 5D is a 20-bed orthopedics and GI post-surgical unit, dedicated to the care of postoperative gastrointestinal surgeries. This inpatient unit specializes in the care of GI patients including pre and post-op surgical care for a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders as well as general medical/surgical overflow. As a RN on our unit, you will have the opportunity to work with a highly efficient team surrounded by engaged team members working to meet positive patient outcomes with an emphasis on demonstrating our value of Customer Obsession. POSITION SUMMARY This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
