The Professional Development team includes Nursing Professional Development Specialists who oversee the training and education needs for the Department of Nursing. The Nursing Practice team includes Clinical Nurse Specialists and Advanced Practice Specialists, who oversee evidence-based practice standards that optimize quality and safety patient outcomes. The Research & Scholarship team includes Nurse Scientists and a Scholarship Development Specialist who oversee the infrastructure for clinical inquiry, evidence-based practice, research, and innovation. The Nursing Quality Analytics team includes nursing quality analysts who oversee data production, dissemination and analytics. Cancer Center Infusion Full Time 87747BR Job Summary Manages advanced practice operations in a specific patient care area. Oversees clinical care provided by advanced practice providers (APP) and ensures compliance with organizational and regulatory agency standards. Provides clinical leadership for a team of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) within the infusion service line. Manages Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs) responsible for patient evaluation, testing, diagnosis, plans of care, and treatment within the infusion centers at Mission Bay, Mt. Zion, the Weill Infusion Center. As a manager, receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the processes by which to attain them. 15-20% of the role will require clinical work in the infusion centers. The NCI-Designation recognizes the scientific leadership, resources, and the depth and breadth of the research in basic, clinical and population science. The Adult Infusion Centers at Mt. Zion and Mission Bay service the Medical Oncology population at UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center as well as any non-oncology infusion needs of patients at UCSF. The treatments include but are not limited to chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, blood transfusions, hydration and electrolyte therapy, injections and blood draws, enzymes and iron infusions, and antibiotics. The centers collectively consist of over 100 chairs/beds and treatments include research and standard of care infusions. The infusion centers are staffed by Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Medical Assistants, and Practice Coordinators. This position directs Advanced Practice Providers across campuses. Required Qualifications Five (5) years of Advanced Practice Provider (APP) experience with demonstrated leadership experience. Critical Care APP Full Time 87648BR Job Summary The Critical Care Nurse Practitioner is a licensed nurse who possesses the advanced education, knowledge, clinical skills and experience necessary to provide expert advanced practice nursing in critical care. The primary responsibility of the Critical Care Nurse Practitioner (CCNP) is providing and directing care for patients in the adult ICUs at the UCSF Medical Center.
