Description UNC Holly Springs Women’s & Children’s Services | 5 Bed Tower UNC Holly Springs Women's and Children's Services, 5 Bed Tower, is a 12-bed unit that care for women and their newborn recovering from delivery, minor gyn surgeries and stable antepartum. We are a growing department as we grow with our community in Southern Wake County and surrounding areas. We provide couplet care for 3 couplets in a Level II Birthing Center, performing assessment's, evaluating educational needs and support throughout the mother and baby's stay. We provide postop care for GYN surgical patients who have had minor GYN surgeries including assessment, wound care and postop education and support. Stable antepartums may need bedrest and further evaluation and follow up non-stress tests. Our 5 Bed Tower also houses a 2-bed level II newborn nursery that our neonatal nurses care for with the support of Women’s team. We care not only for normal newborns but also neonates who may require Level II nursery care, stabilization and greater than 35 weeks. Position Summary: The Neonatal/NICU-trained Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care for newborns requiring advanced assessment, monitoring, and intervention. This nurse collaborates closely with Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs), Physician Assistants (PAs), Respiratory Therapists (RTs), pediatric providers, and the multidisciplinary care team to deliver safe, evidence-based, family-centered care. Key Responsibilities: Attend high-risk deliveries as part of the neonatal resuscitation team in collaboration with NNPs/PAs and Respiratory Therapists. Provide comprehensive assessment, monitoring, and nursing care for neonates requiring Level II Special Care Nursery services. Recognize changes in infant condition and communicate findings promptly to the neonatal care team. Assist advanced practice providers and physicians with neonatal procedures and stabilization. Description UNC Medical Center is hiring New Grad Nurses for Newborn Critical Care Center NCCC is comprised of 74 beds providing the highest quality of care for the most critically ill newborns. The unit provides comprehensive medical and surgical care to the medically fragile preterm or ill newborn. NCCC provides care for newborns from all 100 counties of North Carolina and beyond. This position is 36 hours per week with night, day, and weekend rotation. It is expected that candidates will have their North Carolina RN license prior to their start date. Nurses who have less than 6 months of RN experience and have graduated less than 12 months before their anticipated start date will qualify for the UNC Medical Center New Graduate Residency program.
