Description The Medical Assistant I provides clinical office support to physicians and surgeons and performs patient care and administrative duties necessary to deliver quality patient care. Minimum Qualifications Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field required or in progress. Minimum five (5) years of clinical experience in perioperative services, ambulatory surgery, post anesthesia care, cardiac catheterization/electrophysiology, or critical care. Minimum two (2) years of progressive nursing leadership experience preferred. Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required. Specialty certification relevant to the role required (e.g., CNOR, CAPA, CPAN, CCRN, CV-BC, or NE-BC).
