Duties Description The Registered Nurse will be assigned to Milton Day Program, Highland and Gabriety IRA's. Milton Day Program will serve as the primary location for this position. Milton Day Program cares for 35 individuals with different medical needs. Highland IRA provides care for eight individuals with diverse medical and behavioral needs. Gabriety IRA provides care for five individuals with varying nursing requirements, including tasks that cannot be delegated to unlicensed direct care staff. The Registered Nurse may need to provide coverage at other locations within the team as necessary. OPWDD is the safety net provider to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. As such, we serve individuals with the highest level of medical and behavioral support needs. Nursing is critical to the safe care and oversight of these individuals. With an aging population, the individual's medical/nursing needs have increased and will continue to increase. The Registered Nurse role is essential to the health and safety of the individuals that we serve. Ensures compliance with the Taconic DDSO Policy/Procedures and regulatory compliance.
