Location: Milford, MA Facility: Milford Regional Hospital/UMass Memorial Health Department: Obstetrics & Gynecology Specialty : Obstetrics/Labor & Delivery Schedule: Full-Time Milford Regional Physician Group | Massachusetts Milford Regional Physician Group is seeking an experienced and collaborative Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) or Physician Assistant to join our Labor & Delivery maternity team. This role provides comprehensive inpatient maternity care, including triage, labor management, postpartum care, patient education, and collaboration with physicians and nursing staff in a high-acuity clinical environment. Key Highlights Full-scope inpatient Labor & Delivery practice Collaborative physician and nursing team environment Opportunity to work autonomously while partnering closely with OB/GYN providers Involvement in patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and care coordination Participation in departmental scheduling, rotating weekends, and call coverage Supportive and professional maternity care setting Responsibilities Perform comprehensive maternal assessments and physical examinations Develop and manage treatment plans for acute and chronic pregnancy-related conditions Collaborate with physicians regarding patient care plans and clinical management Manage labor and delivery triage responsibilities Provide patient education and discharge coordination Prescribe medications in accordance with Massachusetts regulations and established protocols Assist with operating room procedures under physician supervision Qualifications Current Massachusetts RN and Certified Nurse Midwife licensure with Certification through the American Midwifery Certification Board/ACNM (or) Current Massachusetts license, issued by the Physician Assistant Board with certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) 2 years of experience Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills Previous Labor & Delivery inpatient experience preferred Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to patient-centered maternity care, clinical excellence, professionalism, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 - Coordinates and provides care for a group of patients spanning all age groups and cultures for a designated time frame using therapeutic means, the laboratory process, the environment/instrumentation and other health care team members while assuming responsibility and accountability for these patients; responsibilities are to provide patient care in an ambulatory care setting under the clinical supervision of a physician or MD within the guidelines of nursing process and nurse practitioner protocols as outlined in Patient Care Guidelines for Nurse Practitioners. Report to: Medical Director and Practice Manager (Administratively) Manages: N/A Coordinates Assignments, Workflow, and Activities/Provides for Guidance: Medical Assistant Required Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience: Graduate of an accredited school, master prepared with a degree as a Nurse Practitioner Massachusetts licensure. Departmental specialized training to provide care to patients within role and successful completion of SMH orientation program Preferred Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience: Command of verbal and written English Operation of clinical equipment demonstrates clinical competence, Positive interpersonal communication skills and good organizational skills Three to five years medical office experience Educational Requirements: Master in Science in Nursing/Nurse Practitioner License/Certification: CPR certification.
