What you can expect Location: 2301 Erwin Rd., Durham, NC 27705, Duke Central Tower, Unit 4B The Peds Specialties/Hemonc/Neuro Unit 4B is a 20-bed pediatric intermediate care unit at Duke University Hospital. Our team works together to deliver outstanding care for each patient through modeling of Duke’s core values. This unit serves the hematology/oncology and general pediatric populations and medical subspecialties, with an emphasis on neurology. Relocation to a new bed tower, which boasts spacious rooms that feature a caregiver space. Opportunity to become certified in administering chemotherapy. Interdisciplinary unit-based shared governance council. Expertise in caring for pediatric subspecialties such as neurology, oncology, and endocrinology. Paid training, including eight weeks of paid orientation, monthly nurse residency classes, and completion of a unit-focused project. Schedule: Full Time: Three 12-hour shifts, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., day/night rotating, 36 hours per week. How you will make an impact Plan and provide professional nursing care for patients in accordance with medical and nursing plans of care and established policies and procedures.
