The department is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. A Day Infusion Nurse provides comprehensive care to patients receiving outpatient, non-chemotherapy infusion therapies used to treat a variety of medical conditions. Responsibilities include safely administering infusion medications, closely monitoring patients for adverse reactions, assessing patient responses to treatment, providing education regarding medications and therapies, and collaborating with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to coordinate and support each patient’s plan of care.
