Our behavioral hospital serves adults from 18 years of age through the senior years. RRBH includes a general adult psychiatric division treating adults of all ages with various mental health diagnosis such as depression, bipolar illness, anxiety, schizophrenia, OCD and others. Advanced Practice Nurse, Trauma

Overview About the Role The primary purpose of the Advanced Practice Nurse position is to improve patient care and systems practice on the Trauma service. The Trauma APN provides clinical patient care to Trauma patients in collaboration with Trauma Physicians, the Trauma Team and with all other health care disciplines. Utilizes advanced practice nursing expertise to provide patient care services, staff orientation, consultation, and evaluation as well as education for patients, families, and health care team members. Works collaboratively with physicians and nursing leadership to identify' patient care and staff development needs. Maintains a clinical tract faculty appointment and serves as a preceptor for students. Participates in staff development programs, patient/family education programs, performance improvement, research and education programs related to trauma. As a Registered Nurse working in the nursing home you are responsible for providing direct nursing care to the residents and to supervise the day-to-day activities performed by nursing assistants to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
