Job Overview Fairview is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for our ICU - Cardiovascular Department at our M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center - East Bank location in Minneapolis, MN. We care for patients who have had coronary artery bypass, valve replacement and transcatheter aortic valve replacement, aortic arch repair and heart and lung transplant. The CVICU also handles patients with decompensated heart failure, adult congenital heart defects, cardiogenic shock, advanced pulmonary hypertension and cardiac arrest. We apply extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), ventricular assist devices (VAD), intraortic balloon pumps (IABP) and Swan-Ganz catheters routinely. Our complex patient population requires hemodynamic monitoring, critical medication management, management of organ failure, maintenance of systemic perfusion and high technical skills. Learn more Job Description: Principle Responsibilities CNM group independently provides labor support, water birth and VBAC/TOLAC services Midwifery collaborative support is provided by a supportive inhouse OB and maternal fetal medicine groups We attend approximately 40-50 births per month with three affiliated clinics. "Natural birth experience" highlighting nontraditional care in the hospital. Follows standards for Nurse Midwifery Practice established by the American College of Nurse-Midwives and Minnesota statute. Professional Liability insurance including tail coverage Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree Graduate from Accredited School of Nursing Formal education as Nurse practitioner Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire Certified Nurse Midwife - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire Must meet at least ONE of the requirements below: ◦ Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association ◦ Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross ◦ Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire) AMCB American Midwifery Certification Board upon hire required Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in nursing or related field 1 year of Certified Nurse Midwife experience Physical Demands Medium Work*: Lifting weight Up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), Up to 25 lbs. frequently Pay Range Pay Range: $130,000 to $145,000 per year The pay described reflects the starting base pay range, assuming a full-time FTE.
