Responsibilities Under the general supervision of the Administrator and the direct supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational Nurse, the Skilled Nursing Activity Coordinator, CNA (Activity Coordinator) provides a variety of patient care activities across life span and accommodative services for assigned patients. The Activity Coordinator develops, coordinates and manages activities for Skilled Nursing Center patients/ residents. These activities are carried out according to hospital policy, the hospital mission statement, and the philosophy of the Department of Nursing. Qualifications MINIMUM EDUCATION High school graduate or GED equivalent; relevant experience in lieu of High School Diploma/GED education will be considered. MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE Previous experience working with aged or handicapped individuals. Experience in an accredited healthcare facility preferred. REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS Certification in the State of Texas as a Nursing Assistant. Basic Life support Certification through the American heart Association.
