Job Summary Follows the nursing process for patients admitted to same day surgery for endoscopy, OR, IV therapy, minor surgery, or IR procedures; communicates with surgeon, endoscopist, interventional radiologist, anesthesia care provider, any other physician or PA; provides report to OR RN, endoscopy nurse, or IR nurse and anesthesia care provider about patient’s relevant patient medical/surgical history and medication allergies; assists patient recovery in Phase 2; accurately documents and charges patient; includes family in patient care and education when possible. Duties & Responsibilities Purpose of Position : Under supervision, provides professional nursing care to patients/clients within an assigned unit.
