Assists with ambulation, lifting and positioning according to procedure, including the appropriate use of patient lift devices and use of good body mechanics. Assists with transporting patients, including at time of transfer and/or dismissal. *Assists patients with elimination needs and measures/records bodily elimination in medical record. Assists in collecting specific information from patients and contributes to admission, transfer and dismissal processes when delegated by a RN, and with responsibility for patient assessment being performed by a RN; assures timely reporting and recording of patient's Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise. Assist in all aspects of a resident’s daily life, including activities of daily living, meal service, and social engagement. Appropriately communicate with branch clinical leadership when a resident’s needs change. Knowledge of how to approach and care for residents with dementia. Qualifications: Must be 18 years or older An active CNA License in good standing. High School Diploma or GED. Willing to take additional training or education, which specific states may require. CPR and First Aid certifications are required. Ability to handle multiple priorities. Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication. Competent in organizational and time management skills.
